The Belfast Studio Tour: Inside Still Hungry Studio's New Kitchen
We've been quietly rebuilding one of the rooms at Still Hungry Studio for the better part of a year. The kitchen is the heart of a food shoot, every dish that lands in front of the camera passes through it first. So we took our time.
Today it's a fully equipped kitchen, recently installed in our brand new studio space. Wide counters, deep storage, induction hobs that hold temperature, a proper oven that holds temperature and the kind of plumbing that doesn't make you think twice about a soup shoot at 7am.
This is a quick tour of what we do here, and why it matters if you're thinking about booking the studio.
The room itself
It's a big room and it’s also a clever one. The work triangle between prep, styling and camera is short, which means dishes stay at their peak for longer. The lighting is consistent, which means the hero dish and the cutaway dish look like they were shot in the same studio. Because they were.
The studio still has its three sash windows for natural light, plus the full softbox rig for commercial work. But the kitchen underneath everything is what we rebuilt.

Who we shoot for
Brands you've heard of such as M&S, Waitrose, Costa, Dale Farm, Mash Direct, Boojum, White’s Oats. Brands you've probably seen in a Belfast deli like Wafer, Mullin's, Davisons, Bored Of Lunch. And brands you'll hear about next year, we work with a steady flow of growing food businesses across the UK and Ireland.
